Epworth woman Tafadzwa Mandaza (31), has been arrested in connection with the alleged stabbing of her husband, Abraham Chirivhayo (35), during a domestic dispute.

The incident, confirmed by the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) on Thursday, reportedly arose from an argument concerning debts owed to loan sharks.

According to police, Chirivhayo sustained a deep cut to his stomach, leading to protruding intestines.

He has since been referred to a local hospital for urgent medical attention.

Meanwhile, police in Harare have arrested two men, Denford Muchatuki Chimano (29) and Gerald Duwaduwa (25), in connection with a murder that occurred on October 25, 2021. The incident took place at a house in St Mary’s, Chitungwiza.

According to a statement from the ZRP, the suspects are accused of fatally assaulting 39-year-old Desmond Ushe.

Police allege that Chimano and Duwaduwa took turns to attack Ushe with their fists before stabbing him in the knee with an okapi knife.

The brutal assault reportedly stemmed from accusations that Ushe was having an affair with Denford Chimano’s girlfriend.

Desmond Ushe succumbed to his injuries shortly after being admitted to Chitungwiza General Hospital.
