Controversial Citizens Coalition for Change secretary general, Sengezo Tshabangu critically ill airlifted to India a reliable source told this publication.
A close source told this publication that Tshabangu was airlifted to India two weeks ago where he is currently receiving treatment of colon cancer.
In October 2024, Tshabangu fell ill, was reported to have been moved to the intensive care unit (ICU) of a hospital in Switzerland following a sudden illness upon his arrival to attend the 149th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly, where he was set to represent Zimbabwe along with speaker of parliament, Jacob Mudenda.
However CCC parliamentary chief whip, Charlse Moyo rubbishes the claim saying the opposition leader is on holiday without specifying on how long is the holiday and is he in the country or outside the country.
Our source told this publication that the current leader recognized opposition leader in Parliament is battling colon cancer for some time.
Tshabangu rose to fame in October 2023, when he declared himself CCC Interim Secretary General and successfully unilaterally recalling numerous CCC MPs and councillors, claiming they were no longer party members.
