The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development has announced a temporary closure of a section of Emerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa Road (formerly Enterprises Road) at Highland Park to allow for critical infrastructure works.

The closure, which takes effect from 3 PM on Saturday, 13 September, will remain in place until 6 AM on Monday, 15 September.

The ministry said the shutdown is necessary to facilitate the installation of a 250mm sewer pipe and the construction of a pedestrian bridge.

The works will be carried out in phases in order to minimise disruption, but motorists are advised to make use of diversion routes. These include Ridgeway North and Ridgeway South roads, Boscobel Road, Hurworth Road, and Arcturus Road.

According to the ministry, clear signage and traffic controllers will be on site to manage the diversions and ensure safety.

Road users have been urged to exercise caution when approaching the area and to follow all instructions issued by traffic management personnel.
