Warriors coach Michael Nees on Thursday announced the squad for Zimbabwe’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers Group C matches against Benin and Rwanda in September.

The team will be without Khama Billiat and Marley Tavaziva, who are sidelined through injury, while Andy Rinomhota is also unavailable as he finalises a move to a new club.

Zimbabwe currently sit bottom of Group C with just 4 points from six matches.

The group standings are as follows: South Africa (13 points), Rwanda (8), Benin (8), Nigeria (7), Lesotho (6), and Zimbabwe (4).

The Warriors will take on Benin away on 5 September at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan, Ivory Coast at 5 PM CAT.

The match will be played on neutral ground as Benin does not have a CAF-approved stadium.

They will then “host” Rwanda at a neutral venue, Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg, on Tuesday, 9 September 2025, at 3 PM CAT.
