Tshabangu  And Accomplices Arrested For Murder

Police in Mazowe have arrested six people in connection with a murder that took place at Masoja Tuck Shops, Gabeni Mine, Surtic Farm on 20 September 2025.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) identified the suspects as Massive Tshabangu (23), Khathilile Moyo (22), Sengezo Sikongosana (19), Benard Ndlovu (22), Khangelani Ndlovu (25), and Prosper Mlilo (24).

According to police, the suspects, who are artisanal miners, attacked the victim, Edmore Ndlovu (30), with knives, logs, empty beer bottles, and stones for reasons that remain unclear.

Two other suspects, Mengezi Ndlovu and Last Ndlovu, are still on the run.

In a separate case in Ngundu, police arrested Nomore Murevegwa (33), Realise Murevegwa (18), Givemore Murevegwa (19), and Fortune Zimoto (43) following a murder at Murevegwa Village, Chivi, also on 20 September.

The suspects reportedly beat the victim, Shakemore Chihwe Pedzisai (33), with switches, fists, and boots after accusing him of theft.

Pedzisai died in the hospital in Mwenezi on 22 September. 

Two other suspects, Ngonidzashe Zimoto (24) and Martin Zimoto (22), remain at large.
